Michel Öllers is a Senior Medical Physicist at Maastro Clinic in Maastricht, the Netherlands. He earned his MSc in Physics from the University of Utrecht (1998) and his PhD from Eindhoven University of Technology (2002). Michel completed his medical physics training at Maastro, where he has worked since becoming certified in 2006.

His expertise includes medical imaging, advanced and adaptive treatment planning, dosimetry, dual-energy CT & PET imaging, and surface-guided radiotherapy (SGRT). Michel is a member of Maastro’s Medical Board, ESTRO, the Dutch Society of Medical Physicists (NVKF), and the Dutch National Lung Cancer Platform.

Rik Hansen is a Senior Innovation Physicist at Maastro Clinic in Maastricht, the Netherlands. He earned his MSc in Applied Physics from Eindhoven University of Technology (2005) and his PhD from Radboud University Medical Center (2012), focusing on noninvasive carotid ultrasound elastography.

After a decade in academic ultrasound research—culminating in his role as assistant professor—Rik shifted to radiotherapy in 2022 to make a more direct impact on patient care. At Maastro, he leads initiatives in AI-driven automation and workflow optimization, including the clinical implementation of autocontouring and autoplanning tools.

Mauricio Leick is a Board-Certified Medical Physics Expert (MPE by SGSMP) and Radiation Protection Expert with over 20 years of experience in clinical radiotherapy. Since completing his training in 1998, he has worked in both public and private clinics across the United States, Belgium, and Switzerland.

Mauricio specializes in treatment planning systems, dose calculation and optimization algorithms, and automation of planning workflows. With deep expertise in these areas, he focuses on streamlining and optimizing the treatment planning process, while staying current with the latest research and technologies.
